Born in Miami, FL Alvaro Orlando a.k.a. Kosmo is of Cuban/Colombian descent was raised in South Florida and Colombia.  Internationally known for his charm, charisma, and smoldering Latino look, Alvaro is the ultimate manifestation of the Latin heartthrob.

Alvaro spend most of his childhood in South Florida, at the age of nine Alvaro moved to Colombia ito attend school in his native country and be close to his family.  After living in Colombia for 5 years Alvaro moved back to his hometown and pursued an interested in filmmaking. He went to film school and started working as a camera assistant at a Spanish network Univision.  This is where the acting bug hit him and he discovered his true passion, which was to be in front of the camera. He immediately started taking acting classes and was chosen for a feature film within the first 2 months of being in the acting game.

Alvaro played a very challenging role as a heroin junkie pleased with his performance, the director suggested that he if he move to New York to further enhance his skills..  “Alvaro is just fearless and so real, he made me so nervous because half the time I would forget that he was even acting" said the director.  Without wasting any time, Alvaro picked up his bags and left everything he knew in Miami and took off to begin his journey in New York.  He had intense training 4 to 5 times a week and when he wasn't in class he was on set shooting movies. He then got a chance to host a national show called "The Roof" on Telemundo.

After one year in New York, the directors and all his acting teachers told him that he would have a better opportunities in Hollywood so off he went once again Alvaro said "The only reason I came to New York is because everyone says if you can make it in New York you can make it anywhere".  Alvaro left New York a very well trained method actor with massive experience.
The first five days in California Alvaro was signed with a well-known manager and agent. Since then he has worked on many short films, and one international Feature Film called "Shadow Boxing 2" which he lost 14 pounds for the role of a young talented boxer.

Alvaro has been spending time producing and directing his own films and is one of the founders of Fearless Pictures.  After being a contestant and winning the title of the VH-1 show The Pick Up Artist, he is on a full media blitz. Women are dying to meet him and men are trying to be him.  Alvaro is extremely humble and grounded and America loves him for his tender unconventional personality that shined in the show "Pick Up Artist". His heart and passion is acting.

He is currently working on several movies, guest starring on several talk shows, TV shows and is working on his own project Latino White Guy due out in 2008.
